Research On The Usage Of Synthetic Materials In Contemporary China Oil Painting

Since 20th century, art has been developing towards synthetic, multi-dimentional and experimental characters, which gradually have become the main stream of it. Some of the Chinese painters'artistic view also changed under the influence of it. They are already not satisfied with traditional monopainting materials, began to seek new art expression method. Synthetic materials have come into being, and have injected great energy to the field of contemporary oil painting.It's natural that synthetic materials come into China, for it is the requirement of development of our contemporary oil painting and it is a unskipable period. So it is of great significance to analyze and research into the practical usage of synthetic materials from the aspect of the development of Chinese oil painting.Synthetic material initiated in the beginning of 20th century in western countries, it is only noticed during 80s of 20th century in China. Although it is used only for more than ten years in China, great achievement has been gained. The research mainly illustrates the usage of synthetic material in contemporary oil painting. The paper analyzes four basic characteristics of synthetic materials used in Chinese oil painting, as well as its influence.Synthetic material, as a new artistic expression method, develops a new art field for Chinese oil painting.Synthetic material is a unique attractive art expression method, and it will continue developing Chinese oil painting to a higher art level.
