| The art of singing is an art of the emotional expression. The successful realization of the art mainly depends upon the singer's understanding on the content of the works and emotional experience, and the singer conveys the ideological emotion of a song to the audience by the beautiful sound and clear enunciation, which can make the audience have the same emotion and sympathy In the section one of this paper, we point out the reason why we write the paper, that is, we find that the emotion of singing plays a very important role in singing a song, at the same time we also account for the correlation between the cultivating, arousing emotion and the expressing emotion. In the second section, we elaborate the cultivation of the emotion of singing and the methods of expressing it from three aspects combining with my experience during the study of vocal music and the teaching practice. First, we explore the ways—how to improve the music cultivation and the aesthetic judgement. We mainly discuss it from such aspects as: studying the artistic knowledge about the vocal music, seeing and hearing the musical works, and so on. Second, on the problem of the emotional cultivation, we account for it from the perspective of the theory with the case analyses, that is, under the well-prepaied condition, how to fully give free rein to our imagination, arouse the desire of the singing, and reach the unity of the singing melody and words of a song, realize the mutual engagement of the accompaniment and sound of singing in the emotion. Last, we make a detailed and complete discussion on the matters for attention and the expressing ways from such aspects as: the faith to the art, the skill of the sound production and enunciation, the use of the contrast, the body language and the facial expression in singing, etc.. When we explain the role of the artistic practice in the emotion of cultivating, arousing and expressing in singing, I combine my own experience on the performance.
