This paper investigates on the consciousness of watching&guarding represented from pure texts of Writer Xue Tao's youth novel, neither simply on the writer's nor the dramatis personae's from these works. The consciousness of watching&guarding is running, stratified, cultural transmissive, sociocultural representative and it is of profound philosophic connotation. The exploration to and analysis on it offers us a full play to systematically be familiar with the multivocal world of the writer's youth novel, ascertain his unique bookcraft, notice the sciocultural significance of this consciousness, and still takes a look around cultivating a life style as an idealist.Introduction summarizes productions on Xue Tao's youth novel. I point out a perspective after clarifying the definition of watching&guarding.
