Compared with poetry of and before 1980s, The 1990s' Poetry had showed its different features, which is described in concepts such as narrative, antimetaphysical, individualized writing, and so on. However, the features should not be interpreted only within the field of poetry. Whether in history or modern time, poetry can barely realize self-discipline. The 1990s' Poetry was put in a much stronger discourse stage, which is called Popular CultureSince 1990s, Popular Culture has been a focus in our social and culture phenomena. Tangled with The 1990s' Poetry, Popular Culture is not only a background for poetry writing, but also an lash practiced on it, which has forced poetry into a corner, and deconstructed the traditional mythology of poets.
