The Chinese clerisy was shocked by the societal changeover in the 1990's, which promoted the farther division of this certain group. Besides, the breaking of the utopianism lead to a spiritual bareness that was getting worse day after day. So those author who insisted on the creating of "elite work" of "pure literature", became the protectors for people's exhausted souls during that "weak era". And Zhang Wei, the author who was focused on in the 1990's, was of the most typical delegates. He became regarded for his unique attitude to writing, especially when he employed the words of "go introjected into the field", and succeeded in swerving all the societal and literary criticism before. This paper is a try to explain and analyze the feature, the reason as well as the literary and philosophical importance of Zhang Wei's great change.Zhang Wei, an author that is quite impressionable to his contemporaneous community, exhibits his own tags which are found inside his books. His early works can be marked with the evidences of "illuminative expressions", panegyrizing modern science and individual value, which were the mainstream in the earlier decade. However, these works did showed new problems inside suburban community after the revolution of the household contract responsibility system. The author also laid great enthusiasm on creating and describing his favorite "Luqing River" world, offering readers a Utopian village with legendary nature beauty, which was the reflection of the common ideal during the time of the early 1980's. "Guchuan'"s publishing turned out to be Zhang Wei's huge progress, he proved himself an author who observe deep in to both historical and current practice on the basis of literary and philosophical importance. When "Jiuyue Yuyan" came out at the middle of the 90 's, he was already impressionable enough to catch the hided tension and worry spread among folks and part of the well-educated community. With the "go introjected into the field" enounce, he started turning himself to a pioneer of "moralism". "Baihui" and "Jiazu" ,which were wrote by the middle of the 90's, showed his criticism upon immorality, firmness of pursuing dream and conservatism of his mind while "Waishengshu", produced at the joint of two centuries, made use of a literary method rather than a academic theory to take his place in the heated discussion of the relationship between globalism and nativism of a certain culture. So it is believed that Zhang Wei kept writing about China's status quo from the very beginning and he is able to adjust his attitude according to social condition changes. My disquisition analyses the features concluded from his works written in different periods of time, especially focuses on both the analyse and comments upon that great change: from illuminative and critical writings to "go introjected into the field" expressions. This paper can be divided to foreword, body and closing. The foreword introduced Zhang Wei's different inditing periods with different Zeitgeist background.
