This essay is a culture reading about the identity of the American Jewish Literature in the view of history. Because it's hard to define the body characteristic of the Jewish people, it's important to give a definition of the cultural characteristic of them. The Jewish people have some special identities such as the chosen men by the God, the offender of the God and edged men. The Jewish people created the phenomenon of the God to govern themselves and fight against the nations who are stronger than them. Peoples can't live without the power of collective in the bad surroundings, so the particular relationship between the God and the Jewish people was given rise. The chosen men by the God believe in the religion and abide by the dogma strictly. This special cultural psychology doesn't only give a strong power to the suffering nation, but also give birth to some conducts that break away from conventions."The offender of the God"gives prototype to the novels which mould the statues showing penitence for their misdeeds."The edged men"is a nation who intercourses with the world frequently. But on the other hand, the Jewish people are afflicted with solitary and lose in mind.
