Company profiles in the majority of Chinese companies are translated quite literally; it seems that the translators just ignore the pragmatic and cultural factors. For this reason, this study is intended to generalize the audience expectations and language norms of company profiles in English-speaking countries through descriptive and contrastive analysis of the corpus under the tentative text processing model. At the same time, it attempts to clarify the situation or problems in the translation of company profiles and suggests practical solutions, which might yield useful insights to translation pedagogy and translator training. It concludes that the translation of company profiles (TCP) is a specialized localizing process based on the parameters of addressees and the TC. Thus, TCP should follow the localization principle, which includes the following steps: the first step is for the commissioner to give the translator adequate freedom of changing the content of the problematic ST to make it conform to the audience expectations in English-speaking countries; the second step is globalizing the values in the ST to make them understandable worldwide regardless of cultural differences; the last step involves the linguistic transfer from the modified ST to the TT.
