In 1930s and 1940s, Northwest Shanxi transformed greatly because of Japanese invasion and the revolution of the Communist Party of China. The social mobilization and resources adjustment changed the social structure and economy in the area. Revolution and War can be regarded as two medium variables in the social development of Northwest Shanxi.Under the influence of revolution and war, the split of social class caused the change of economic status of each class. The land owned by landlords and rich peasants began to be separated by other class and land ownership changed from concentration to separation. Meanwhile, the transaction of land and transference of land ownership caused by revolution and war led to the change of land ownership of every village in Northwest Shanxi. Thus, the situation developed towards two directions. On the one hand, land deposition in every village tends to be separate;on the other hand, land in every village tends to be concentrated in every village which made land mark between villages clear and evident. The thesis takes a typical natural village - Heiyuakou as the study object, and focuses on the form of village land mark that is the result of transference of land ownership under the influence of revolution and war.Introduction introduces the objectives of the present study and takes a review of the relevant literatureChapter one describes the geographical and economic situation of Heiyukou village and illustrates the reason of choosing the village as the study object.Chapter two analyzes the situation of land ownership in the village before war, the land concentration and intersection, and the confusion of land mark between villages.Chapter three explicates the separation of land ownership in Heiyukou village and the concentration of land in villages which made the land markbetween villages clear. Conclusion summarizes the findings of the thesis.Based on the massive archives and data, the thesis analyzes the transaction of land ownership and expounds the form of land mark between villages with the theory and methodology of history , sociology and economics.
