Positioning and searching space objects is very important to human survival and daily life. Maps help people in space positioning played a vital reference role. What map is more suited to guide people search for objects positioning and objects, or what characteristics will affect people on the map of the location of the space efficiency of the current map is a hot research area of space cognitive study. Current and relevant research focused mainly on the traditional two-dimensional maps and static map ,and study to three-dimensional virtual map and rotated map relatively less. With the development of electronic information technology, three-dimensional virtual map (electronic-map) navigation systems in the field of reality, such as car navigation application. Whether the previous two-dimensional maps and static map or 3D electronic-map navigation has greater advantage capabilities in space location is the focus of this study. The study used three experiments, using computer simulation techniques explored in desktop virtual environment, focus on the map (two-dimensional and three-dimensional), the map background (simple background, complex background), and map navigation mode (static map, rotated map) to judge the efficiency of the space location.Previous studies suggest that the use of two-dimensional space on the map of the cognitive process, including the positioning of rotary and psychological objectives search two phases. The first phase will map the psychological background reference rotary to the physical and self-centred orientation customary consistency; Two phases objectives search to find a specific target, with its own goals and then determine the location. The rotary can map for the first phase were no psychological rotary, but the need for the second phase of the target acquisition; For fixed map the psychological operations course, on the contrary, the need for the first phase of psychological rotary, but in the objective point on the map has not changed, and there is no need for a second phase of the target acquisition. The purposes of the first experiment in addition to this simple two-dimensional and two-dimensional map background complex background of...
