This dissertation focuses on the Yili (《仪礼》), which was written on bamboo slips excavated from ancient tombs of Han dynasty in WuWei in 1959. Based on the ancient explannation and available studies, the essay makes a exploration of Yili (《仪礼》 ) written on Bamboo: including further arrangement and argument of ancient explannation, an index by word-for-word of Yili (《仪礼》) written on Bamboo, characters orgnization of Yili (《仪礼》 ) written on Bamboo, comparison between Yili (《仪礼》) written on Bamboo and Shuowen (《说文》) and analysis of the characters having different formation but the same meaning.Excavated from ancient tombs, Yili (《仪礼》) , as a Confucian classics, has great historic value on Confucian classics, paleography, science of edition, and textual criticism. As far as this dissertation concerned, it has several important points: the index by word-for-word can be served as a big help in profound study of Yili (《仪礼》 ) written on Bamboo; characters orgnization can play an important role in the study of paleography and calligraphy. Besides, the comparison between Yili (《仪礼》) written on Bamboo and Shuowen (《说文》) is expected to prove and revise Shuowen (《说文》) , which can help to reveal the real state of characters in Dong Han dynasty and Xi Han dynasty; and the analysis of the characters having different formation but the same meaning can give us a restricted look of the use of characters in ancient time.
