Shuowen JieZi wrote by Xu Shen is the first dictionary in Chinese history, withradical scheduling of analyzing the shape of characters systematically, probing intothe character source, examinating the literal meaning and sound. In Shuowen JieZi,every radical word is a Chinese characters and cultural history. It is of significant forlinguisics, phonetics, philology and culture to study system, the repeated character,the typeface evolution, the phonological rules and the culture contains of eachcharacter in Shuowen JieZi. This paper is focused on the study of Zhu(bamboo) Partfor the object of study. By classifying and comparing, we do a comprehensive anddeep research on Zhu Part. There are four parts in this paper: introduction, thesignificance of analyzing the Zhu Part, the evolution of shapes on Zhu Part and thephonetic relationship among characters with Zhu Part. The introduction mainly sumsup the previous research results, the content and methods on this paper, etc. Thesecond chapter is fist to classify and define149words in Zhu part,12repeatedcharacters and33words which contains Zhu component in Shuowen JieZi. Then itwill analyze internal and external causes of Zhu part words appeared.After that we will explore types and research significance of repeated character.Finally we sum up the types of the words containing Zhu component and the reasonsof words belongs to different radicals. The third chapter carries out a detaileddescription of the evolution of Chinese written forms of "Shuowen JieZi" Zhu partfrom early Chinese writing system to modern Chinese writing system. And We willanaylze and discuss the law of Chinese characters development and evolution. Thefourth chapter is to describe the Zhu radical characters’ archaic Chinese phonologyand ancient Chinese phonology, and come to a conclusion “the characters in sameradical have different sounds” when the radical is a signifier. The paper tries to builda three-dimensional structure, concluding meaning, grapheme and pronunciation of Shuowen JieZi Zhu radical characters.
