Oral communication is very common phenomenon in human life. During the first utterance "Good morning" to the last utterance "Good night", people perform numerous communicative activities every day. The ability to carry our oral communication successfully is very important for human beings. The importance not only lies in daily life, but also in work. In fact, it is communication that brings about endless joys for human beings, who are regarded as social persons. Without language and the communication resulted from it, a modern human being may live as an organism, but he cannot thrive as a successful social person, at least he is deprived of the enjoyments of a social person. Most oral communication is carried out in one's mother tongues or in the varieties of their mother tongues. However, as far as a foreign language (In this dissertation, English is referred as particularly) is concerned, one can find out that it is not very satisfactory. Chinese university students can get very high scores in English examination, but they cannot carry out some simple oral communication tasks successfully.
