Kungfu literature, a type of Chinese traditional novel, occupies an important status in the field of light literature. Knight literature in the Middle Ages is also prosperous for a time in the history of the western literature. The two literatures are derived from different cultures: chivalrous culture and knights' culture. However, the two cultures possess similarities of being vigorous, coarse, altruistic and energetic. The reflection of the property on novel is to eliminate the bullies and help the down-trodden chivalrously.Generally, "The Story of a God Pot" and "Don Quixote" are understood as an anti-traditional and terminal form of the above literature. Surfacely, the two really have similarities. The writing mode of the encyclopedic type results their similar style; the characterization of the two novels forms the conflict between reality and ideal; the meaning of protagonists is provided with more national and cultural speciality. Likewise, both of the two give up the traditional literature pattern, and irony and paradox also become a double rhythm influencing the narration. However, can it be affirmed that the two novels end their own traditional literature styles? Restricting on text will make us unable to see the woods for the trees. Only when the cultural perspective is taken into consideration can we find the true features of history. Cultural factors such as different cultural characteristics, the background of the author's times, Renaissance, as well as the civilization of post industrial times are overlooked by traditional scholars. From text style to the creation of characters, from the "anti-tradition" mode to rhetorical narration, the similarities of the text level just constitute a comparison of novels. Parallel comparisons, which connect irrelevant texts, increase comparative difficulties. If we take culture, age and the authors' living environments into consideration, different destiny of two novels will be explored. Thus, the thesis of the study is shaped, i.e. blanking and undercurrent: the same type and different destiny of two anti-condition novels.
