Poyang Lake is the largest one in China, wholly located in Jiangxi Province. Poyang Lake comes into being step by step, and has shifted from the north part of Yangtse River to the south. Diastrophism is the ultimate power of the outcome of Poyang Lake, and will have great influence on Poyang Lake's development in the future. Folk gospels have comprehensive meanings. The dissertation makes a case study on three representative subjects of folk gospels around Poyang Lake in order to understand the relationship between folk gospels and social transformation. The three subjects of folk gospels are Milord Temple which locates in northeast of Jiangxi Province and Xu xun and Lord Kang who lived in Gan Fu Plain. Folk gospels concerning the history of Milord Temple directly reflect the evolvement of Poyang Lake. Cult of Xu xun has a far-reaching influence on common sense of Jiangxilander. Saga of Lord Kang can be retrospected in the history of Jinxian County which has died out.
