With China's entry into WTO and the further development of China's educational reform, the importance of English has become the focus of the public. Then college English teaching has been paid more attention in the trend of educational reform. In the teaching process, college EFL teachers' quality turns out to be the key and should not be neglected for the success of English teaching. However, what the current state of college EFL teachers' teaching quality is, how to improve teachers' teaching quality are the two questions we put forward.The present study aims to solve these two questions which are crystallized into four research questions:1. What are the positive characters of college EFL teachers in teaching?2. What are the problems in college EFL teachers' development?3. Is there inconsistency existing between college EFL teachers' practice and the principles which they identified?4. How to improve the teaching quality of college EFL teachers?In order to solve the first three research questions, an investigation is conducted, which is designed to use the research instrument of questionnaires.
