The mother tongue transfer phenomenon is the important topic that many linguists and psychologists research in the second language acquisition. The Chinese language is the target language and the Uighur language is a mother tongue in the minority Chinese language teaching. Because both languages of Chinese and Uighur belong to the different language system, existing the very big differences, producing the negative transfer very easily while studying the Chinese language.This kind of negative transfer appears at different level in language learning. The Chinese language preposition is the difficult part in the Chinese language teaching . And has no corresponding part of speech in Uighur language. Most of Chinese prepositions mean by postpositions and case in Uighur language. But all of them are not conrresponding; Forthemore word orders of two languages are different. It is so easily lead negative transfer of mother tongue when Uighur students study the Chinese language prepositions. Currently, the research concerning this aspect is not enough in the minority Chinese language teaching. This dissertation is in absorbing the foundation of former research, as to this topic make the further study.This dissertation bases on the theories of language transfer and interlanguage , through the questionnaire, investigation and interview methods to collect of a great number of errors, and then adopt to error analysis and contrast analysis methods , make statistics and analyse these preposition errors. We are trying to make an objective conclusion in order to guide the Chinese language teaching betterly, provide some helpful suggestions for the purpose of the exaltation of minority Chinese language teaching quantity.This dissertation is divided into three parts. The first part is a preface, saying the meaning of this research ,the research present condition, research way of thinking and methods.The second part is phenomenon analysis of Uigur minority students mother tongue negetive transfer when they study Chinese language prepositions in common use, according to the mother tongue negetive transfer error collectionses, using the mothed of questionnaire, investigation and interview...etc. , select representatives of"zai","cong/zi cong""xiang /wang /chao","dui /dui yu , dui /dui yu….laishuo","gen ju/an zhao","wei/ weile","gei","tong guo/jing guo","gen","zhi yu/ guan yu"10 groups of preposition errors and categorizing and analyzing these error materials.The third part , bases on the error-analysis. We disucuss the causes of these errors and put forward some usful strategies to reduce and avoid the mother tongue negative transfer. We hope this analysis can be improve the teaching effects and raise the learning efficiency of Uighur students learning Chinese propisitions in Chinese teaching.
