| This dissertation choses the historical Chaghtay literature named Biography of Khojas as researching object, which was written by Muhamad Sadik Kashghari in Kashghar during the year of 1768-1769, what I want to do is, from aspects of linguistics, philology, religion, and history, firstly, to retranslate and re-annotate the literature Biography of Khojas, secondly, to analyze the content of this literature and then reemerge the historical picture of Xinjiang Uighur sufism during 16-18centuries by referencing the original Chaghtay edition and comparing with other kinds of existing editions of Biography of Khojas in English and Chinese.This dissertation is divided into two parts. First part is mainly about translation and annotation of the literature, and also giving some introductions of the literature. During the process of translation and annotation, I have referenced some other books, trying to give some my own opinions. Second part is mainly about analysis of the literature's content, having discussed the development of Uighur sufism during 16-18 centuries.
