On Jamson's Literature Critical Theory

Fredri Jameson is the most famous western Marxism theorist in contemporary America, he pays close attention to the problem on literature on the position of Marxism , and sets up his characteristic literature theories by this. At the same time, he puts his literature theories into effect., and make remarkable success, thus he has achieved a comparative higher lever in the contemporary western Marxism theory ,even in the whole field of aesthetics. This thesis mainly analyzes Jamson's ideas of literature, and discusses his literature theories from different sides ,explores his unique and original idea and weak points during his studing process of literature theories.This thesis includes four parts. Part one begins with Jamson's definition of literature, analyzes the intension of his literature ,thinks he bases on Marxism standpoint, and combines them with other points, study his literature theories on further.Part two summarizes Jamson's critical theories. First is critical principle, that is historical and aesthetics, thinking Jamson gives up traditional Marxism 'idea of historicism, he thinks history is abscent, which reflects the ideas of writer and reader by text, so there must be some space in it, while Marxism can help understand the real meaning. Second, from rewriting Christianity's explain system, analyzes Jamson's analysis method. Third, thinking there is a frame that goes deep step by step, by this we can get to the meaning of text.
