Picaresque novel is a kind of narrative literary style which was born in Spain in the middle and late 16th century , it usually adopts the first person narrative mode. It is a series of story strung by a wandering bottom-layer leading role. That is the earliest narrative work of "modern novel". The first picaresque novel represented by Lazarillo de Tormes (1554) were in popular in Spain, since then, picaresque novel was absorbed and used for reference by European nations such as Britain, France, Germany etc. It became popular in 17th and 18th century' European literary circles.Representative novels contained Moll Flanders of Britain, Der Abenteuerliche Simplicissmus of Germany ect. In last phase of 18th century and the beginning of 19th century, the popular picaresque novels were dead silent nearly 30 years. In the very act of picaresque novel declined in the Europe, in Mexico, which had got the deep history origin with Spain thatwas picaresque novel's cradle, did picaresque novel----E1 PeriquilloSarniento appeared, it not only enriched and developed picaresque novel, but also drew apart the literary prelude of Latin America , so that was been reputed as the first novel of Latin America. In the process of art evolvement of hundreds of years , picaresque novel formed gradually the larruping art mode.
