Research On Huang Zi Art Songs With Their Singing Way

The art songs, which origin from Europe generally means the solo works that the words fit into tune with the highest degree, the human voice and piano part been supplement each other. As a highly effective composer, music theorist and music educator in Chinese modern musical history, Huang Zi composed a quantity of works with various types and styles, and most of them were vocal works, which also the most important. For his art songs, the general style as well as their composition techniques was not only the western characteristics but also inherited the Chinese traditional culture. They were the most artistic value part in Huang Zi whole works, being the outstanding representative of Chinese modern art songs. Chosen 12 art songs by Huang Zi as research object, the article discussed their music styles, music language, and classified them, then pointed out the features of special singing way to Huang Zi art songs.
