Chinese American literature won remarkable achievements in the development of past hundreds years. At the same time, with the efforts of lots of Chinese American authors, the Chinese American female images in their works formed a picture scroll of their own style but each also has particular characteristics. This phenomenon greatly influences U.S.A society. Facing the pressures of westerners, the white and male, the covered course of Chinese American women is rough and full of thorn. Through vicissitudes of centuries Chinese American women in works are becoming conscious in the inquiry and affirmation of self-identity.The article reveals the importance of female images in works through the development history of Chinese American women and Chinese American literature research; the article arranges the definition and development course of Chinese American literature; then the article discusses in three phases the characteristics and its change of Chinese American female images in the different period's works based on the sequence of time.
