The Application Of The Chinese Folk Art's Sign In The Contemporary Graphic Design

The national artistic style and humanistic characteristics of the contemporary design have much attention on us, which make the application of native cultures become an inexorable trend. Rooted in the Chinese traditional culture, the research on the application of folk art's sign has important practical significance and applicable value.The analysis of folk art from the angle of semiotics will conducive to the cross-cultural exchange and dissemination. In this paper, the author explored the signification and the representative of the folk art's sign and analyzed of the application requirements and laws that applied in the contemporary graphic design. At the same time, we should understand the process in disseminating information to be creative in keeping with the times and the limitations of the folk art's sign. When the folk art's sign become the "ideal" sign, it will convey information effectively and enhance the use of Chinese culture subjects in contemporary graphic design.
