Likert scales are widely used in the world for the easy usage and good internal consistency. When using the Likert scales in Chinese, there are two ways to describe the prepared choices, one is the non-extreme expression——such as"agree, more agree, uncertain, less agree, disagree"and the other is the extreme expression——such as"agree strongly, agree, uncertain, disagree, disagree strongly". What kind of affection do these two descriptions to the tendency of the choice when the target person raised in the Chinese background? This study shows great importance both on the attitude theory in social- psychology and design of the psychological measurement tools. The research is carried out with Chinese university students as the sample participants.
