Exploration On The Expression Techniques Of Extreme Sports Documentaries

With the development of scientific technology and increasingly fast-paced modern urban life, some sports enthusiasts are starting to release pressure through inventing and participating in all kinds of extreme sports. On the one hand, the action, excitement, and ornamental features of extreme sports determined it is suitable to perform its theme as film and television art; on the other hand, the transmission of images can also promote the development and publicity of extreme sports. However, the combination about the images and extreme sports is relatively few, and documentaries regarding the extreme sports is still blank. Due to the late expansion of extreme sports in China, this kind of television work is rarely been heard domestically while research towards extreme sports documentaries is also of inadequate achievement. This paper explores the expression techniques of extreme sports documentaries mainly by case analysis method. Through the analysis regarding the audiovisual and narrative techniques of the extreme sports documentary "Parkour Youth", to draw a conclusion that diversified artistic expressions should be used in the extreme sports documentaries on the premise that authenticity is ensured. Only then can the essential characteristics and charm of the extreme sports documentaries fully manifest.
