The Analects of Confucius, an oral quotation work, is significant for studying the Chinese in Pre-Qin period. The dissertation will base on the achievements before, and synthesize the theory and method of the modern linguistic. This article will also analyze deeply for the linguistic reason to the mood words system of the Analects, meaning of the common mood words and mood words cluster.Chu chengzhi, who had once used the inductive method of maximum common and the compatriotic method of minimal difference, has defined the main meaning of the common mood words in modern Chinese. In this article, the definition will also get in the Analects of Confucius using the same method, with the conclusion as follows: the mood word "ye"comes from the mood item, "relax", which at the beginning was declarative mood of judgment and certain; "yi"means certain and strength; "hu"is doubt, and "zai"is interjection and pause, etc.In broad sense of mood words , the dissertation has found that the "liaowu mood" in modern Chinese, however, had not any obvious symbol of grammar form. This article will also discuss the phenomenon of mood word cluster by analyzing the conditional cause of grammar order, coordinate order and the linguistic cause of cluster. We will find that in quotation and dialogue, there are two items should be omitted; and those are the development of mood words and imperfection in the discussion of other mood words expressions.
