Family grave is always an important topic concerned by the scholars of Han archaeology. After the PRC was founded, more and more materials about the Han family grave appeared, and a great deal of fundamental stuff have piled up till now. Meanwhile, the academic research of family grave went deeply step by step, but it concentrated mostly on the concrete materials of family grave. None scholar has do comprehensive subject research on this topic so far. On the basis of predecessors' study and in the perspective of archaeological typology, this essay collects the materials of family grave, and then constructs the archaeological framework of Han family grave after analyzing the material in detail. Combining with the literature material, this essay analyzes the information within the archaeological materials deeply, with the hope of bring some help to the study of Han family.Studying Han family grave has an important sense, however, its difficulty make researchers hold their feet. How to identify the family grave from the concrete Han graveyard and grave materials is the first problem researchers have to face. On this point, the most effective way of confirm the grave owners' kin relationship is use the method of physical anthropology. Yet little work has been done on this aspect in the field archaeology so far, we have on way to use the study achievement. Therefore, it's the only way to strengthen the typological study of graveyard and grave in order to conclude the characters of archaeological materials and discover their inner developing law.
