During the Ming and Manchu dynasties , the whirligig of social and economic envionment affected the survival condition of the female ,in the regions along Huaihe River of Anhui. they not only engaged in the fields labor , but also used their leisure to cadge , for helping bread and butter. So,there came forthed two features— "the beetle-crusher women "and "the women of playing flower - drum - lantern dance ".At that time , they also abided the idea of virtue,which the official advocating.The women of keeping chastity ,played multiple roles in family and society and led a rather hard life. But their contribution to family and society couldnot change the road of life, designed by the society governed by men . On the contrary , sometimes they were likely to face the fate of being baught and saled . Even so , they also actived in charities. They drived forward social development together with the male,and had the same effect on social and economic life.
