A Description And Analysis Of Freakish Children's Rhyme

As a linguistic phenomenon, freakish children's rhyme is prevalent in campus whose emergence and dissemination exert certain influence on students' physical and mental growth. Taking freakish children's rhyme as the study object, this thesis tries to probe into the reasons of freakish children's rhyme's wide spreading in campus from the aspects of society and psychology through surveying as well as describing freakish children's rhyme's content and form.The first chapter is a general description of freakish children's rhyme, which defines freakish children's rhyme and compares freakish children's rhyme with traditional children's rhyme as well as with popular words. And then the status quo of freakish children's rhyme's and the findings by previous researches and presented with the research methodology and significance pointed out.The second chapter is mainly devoted to the description of freakish children's rhyme. By comparing freakish children's rhyme with traditional children's rhyme, the author generalizes freakish children's rhyme's characteristics in its content, form, function and dissemination and classifies freakish children's rhyme according to their contents. Afterwards, freakish children's rhyme is described in the form from the perspectives of phonetics, vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric.In the third chapter, a question survey on freakish children's rhyme is presented. First, the author gives account of the material, object and methodology of the survey and then explains freakish children's rhyme's emergence and dissemination front the factors of society, psychology and communication according to the statistics and analysis of the findings of the survey.
