The relationship between the Yao and Han people is an important constituent of ethnic relations and an important topic of the research of national history of Guangxi. The relationship between the Yao and Han people during the age of the Republic of China holded the extremely important status in the long history relationship between the Yao and Han people. On the basis of deep investigation and widespread collection data,this thesis studies the relationship between the Yao and Han people during the age of the Republic of China on multi- stratification from political,economical and cultural multi-dimensional field of vision applying the theory of ethnology, history, sociology, economic infrastructure and cultural anthropology and the method of historical materialism,and analyzes and promulgates objectively the mainstream of unit and friendly relationship between the Yao and Han people during the age of the Republic of China in northeast of Guangxi and the historical reason of the existence of barrier and contradictory of relationship between the Yao and Han people, as well as the status and the function of relationship between the Yao and Han people in the structure of the ethnic relations of Guangxi.The first, this thesis is engaged in researching the important status and function of the relationship between the Yao and Han people during the age of the Republic of China in northeast of Guangxi in the ethnic relations of Guangxi from the macroscopic angle of view. This thesis summarizes the neighbourly relationship that the two nations intercoursed and absorbed mutually on economy and culture before the Republic of China from analyzing the origin and distribution of the Yao people,and they shared weal and woe in the struggle against the feudal oppression.
