Research On Northeast China’s Aid To Refugees In The Pass During The Period Of The Republic Of China(1912-1931)

During the Period of the Republic of China,there were many natural disasters inside Shanhaiguan,especially in the provinces of North China.To make a living,inside Shanhaiguan pass refugees poured into the northeast China,during the 1920 s,the refugees has become a subject of northeast migrants.Under the comprehensive effect of economic,political,cultural factors,all walks of life in northeast China actively carried out relief activities for refugees in the customs through various relief means and methods,which not only achieved certain relief effect,but also indirectly achieved the purpose of developing economy and resisting aggression in real border areas.However,China had been completely reduced to a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society,with internal warlords fighting against each other and separatist regimes,and external oppression by imperialist countries at that time.In northeast China,relief activities for refugees were inevitably limited,and the overall relief effect was limited.This paper is mainly discussed from four parts:The first part is the background of the refugees in northeast China.This part mainly analyzes the reasons for the emergence and influx of refugees inside Shanhaiguan in the Period of the Republic of China from the historical,social and cultural backgrounds,and expounds the influential factors for the northeast society to actively carry out the assistance of refugees from the Customs.The second part is the social subject of northeast China.This paper describes the role played by government agencies,news media,social organizations and individuals in the implementation of refugee assistance,and introduces in detail the means and measures of various social subjects to assist refugees inside Shanhaiguan.The third part is the policies and measures of northeast China.This paper mainly discusses the policies and measures formulated and adopted by all sectors of society in northeast China in terms of relief materials,organizing relief workers and transporting refugees,receiving and settling refugees,and solving the livelihood of refugees.The fourth part is the evaluation of the refugees in the northeast area.This paper expounds the characteristics,effects and problems of assisting refugees in northeast China.
