| Research from the point of timeliness was adopted generally comparing with the extensity when researching on literature of Tang dynasty in the past. However, investigation on extensity should be paid more attention, which related to the area problem of literature appearance. This article arranged the relationship between poetry and geography in Tang dynasty: researched the poets in the whole country recording to the Dao(with the Jingji Dao and Jiangnan Dao as the center) from 712AD to 805AD;Analyzed the distribution of the poets in the whole country before and after the random of AnSh to search the characteristic of geography distribution and the rule of movement of the poets in Tang dynasty.Not only the difference between south and north area could be research ed but also the difference between east and west area about the research on area in Tang dynasty. So, the article researched the geography distribution of poets from 712AD to 805AD according to the fifteen Dao and analyzed the poets that existed in the same time and room.Taking the random of AnSh as a limit, the geography distribution of the poets had the different characteristic: before the random of AnSh the poets usually existed in Jingji Dao, less the Duji Dao and the Jiangnandong Dao, which meant more poets existed in the north Dao but less in the southern Dao with the Qin Mountain and Huai River as a limit. After the random of AnSh , the number of the poets in the north Dao decreased but increased in the southern Dao. The east of Jiangnan Dao was in evidence as the civilization center from 712AD to 805AD. And the number of poets who existed in the north before the random of AnSh and at last moved to the south increased. The geography distribution and movement of the poets had such characteristic because of the war, economy, politics, traffic, social ethos, and so on.Both of the new Dao were set up in KaiYuan fifteen, during the two pieces of time, the number in it (Jingji Dao) varied little but much for Jiangnandong Dao.
