Jiuye Poets Group formed in the later 1940's . It included nine poets, namely Xin Di, Chen Jingrong, HangYuehe, Tang Qi, Tang Shi, Yuan Kejia, Mu Dan, Du Yunxie and Zheng Min. They revolved two magazines, which were Poem Creation and Chinese New Poetry. They accepted the affect from T.S.Eliot, and had more obvious modernism tendency. Later it acquired fame because of the publication of Collected Works of Jiuye Poets Group prospered in metropolis under background of the war. The north and the south united because of the common interests on poetry. The influence research is my major research technique. I try my best to historize the poetry and poetry theory of the school of nine leaves'. I put them back into the relations of the specific society and history, when they came into being, and recovered the initial significance in the specific historical context. In the first part, I elaborate the theory of Yuan Kejia, which was The modernization of Chinese new poetry. It was influenced by T.S.Eliot directly, who standed for the New Criticism. It summarized the characteristics of the Chinese type of Modernism, which was standed by The Three Stars(Mu Dan,Du Yunxie and Zheng Min) in the Southwest United University. The theory made up the flaw that there was good poems, but there wasn't poem theory which was systematic and could Suit the present situation of China in later period of the 1940's . This theory signed that The Nine schools of poetry had formed. I begin with the firsthand material, and form the understanding of the theory through close reading. I elaborate the first part from two aspects. Firstly, the essence of"The modernization of Chinese new poetry":"the Reality, the Symbol, and the Metaphysics", which was the new comprehensive tradition. It generalizes the characteristics of the poetry of T.S.Eliot, who standed for the West Modernism, and it also concluded the writting of Jiuye Poets Group. Secondly, the way to realize"The modernization of Chinese new poetry":"the dramatization of Chinese new poetry". There were two basic principles : the Objectivity, the Indirectivity and the Contradictory, Conflict. Yuan Kejia pointed out the developing direction of"the dramatization of Chinese new poetry"through T.S. Eliot's dramtic Poem:"simplily to write the poemplay".The poetry and poetry theory (which was standed by Yuan Kejia's theory)of Jiuye Poets Group were in a state of conjunction. If Yuan Kejia's theory embodied their artic means (the characteristics in the form), so they were the characteristics of their subjects, which criticized and exposed the metropolis civilization and the dissimilation of human nature in the angle of appreciating the ugly. It was what Yuan Kejia's poetry theory hadn't mentioned, and one important aspect embodying the"Modernization"obviously in Jiuye Poets Group's poetry. Jiuye Poets Group presented the variation to T.S.Eliot, because of different cultural, environmental and historical circumstances. Finally, I clarify the historical origin through which Jiuye Poets Group accepted the influence of T.S.Elot.We can say that Jiuye Poets Group constructed the ripe poem and poetry theory of Chinese type Modernism in specific period of war with the Reference system of T.S.Eliot's poem and poetry theory. They practiced"the Modernization of Chinese new poetry"awarely.
