| The well known word Rural Working Women was born in 1990s with the coming trend of working outside countryside. Dating back to the end of Qing dynasty and beginning of Republic of China, we could see the role of Rural Working Women was acted by women servants in feudal officials' home, rural women coming to work in town, and house-workers in citizens' home. Each of them was combined of floating urban labor-force worker, born as woman, coming from village, working in a strange city. It marked on them in body and mind with lots of imagination and special experiences during the rural-to-urban migration. The floating working women in literature articles will be used as the beginning of this thesis.This thesis uses Migration Women .Floating City and Village as the base to analyze the articles in four different ages: A Girl Named A Mao (Ding Ling, 1928), The Rice-sprout Song (Ellen Zhang, 1954), Oh Xiang Xue (Tie Ning 1982), and Running Flame (Fangfang ,2001), The four ladies have one common point, that is they all have attracted by the Floating City and all have one inspiration to be a real one in the city, though there are some differences: what A Mao wants is happy life after May Fourth Campaign, living as a normal citizen for Yue Xiang, learning knowledge and going out of mountainous hometown for Xiang Xue, while body economy and material occupancy for Ying Zhi, in which women's material and mental purchasing combined and they are all trapped in the embarrassed situation about choice and no choice. This thesis wants to connect their stories and the separate historical period they were living in, tries to find their real voice and periodical position through analyzing the literatures in the twentieth century, and this kind of analysis will be of help for them or make some kind of change to them in some certain kind of degree. |
