This paper studies the process of the Vietnam Unified War, Which is form the signing of the Paris Agreement to the collapse of Saigon. Apart from Introduction, the paper is divided to five chapters.Chapter One discusses the situation of South Vietnam before/after the signing of the Paris Agreement. In order to impel South Vietnam and North Vietnam to sign the Agreement, United States promised South Vietnam not to abandon it, and promised North Vietnam not to intervene its offensive after an interval. So North Vietnam applied the "Political Priority" Policy, and South Vietnam applied the policy of Pacification and Encroachment. In fact, both of the South and the North didn' t abide by the Agreement. They did their best to occupy as much land as possible before the signing of the Agreement, and didn't abide by the Ceasefire Agreement.Chapter Two discusses the change of North Vietnam's policy from 1973 to 1974. The 21st Plenary Session in July 1973 changed the "Political Priority" Policy into the policy of attacking. The revolutionary in the South were more active than the North. The 1973 Strategy Plan and the 1974 Strategy Plan reflected the dispute in the leadership.Chapter Three discusses the making of the military plan and the military preparation. In the expanded Politburo meeting (December 1974—January 1975), the victory of the Highway 14—Phuoc Long campaign impelled the North to decide to unify Vietnam within two years. In addition, North Vietnam made the military preparation for unifying at all times.Chapter Four discusses Three Campaigns and the collapse of South Vietnam. In March 1975, North Vietnam launched the Tay Nguyen campaign, and the Victory of the Ban Me Thout campaign impelled the North to decide to liberate Saigon before Rainy Season. After the Tay Nguyen campaign and the Hue—Danang campaign, North Vietnam launched the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and occupied Saigon on 30 April 1975. North Vietnam wined the Vietnam Unified War.Chapter Five discusses the reason why North Vietnam wined the war. The external factor greatly affected the result of the war. United States abandoned South Vietnam while Soviet Union and China supported North Vietnam, which made the South lost foreign aid and the North obtained foreign aid. In addition, South Vietnam had a terrible corruption problem, and North Vietnam had a great determine to unify Vietnam. So North Vietnam defeated South Vietnam.
