Language is the carrier of literature, and literary language is a part of linguistic research. From the perspective of linguistics, the thesis is to study the creative language in the works by Yang Kexiang, a local writer of Hunan. It analyzes the local flavor of the creative language by corpus of his famous novels as Eighteen Sands in Yuhe; Variations of the Twelve years with Animal Names; Family Scandal; Testimony by Wilderness, and plays such as, Dragon as a Representative; One-night Husband. It also explores how to reasonably adopt local language to portray characters, show social life, and reveal the local colors of literary works so as to enrich the power of embodiment and raise aesthetic values of literary works. It digs out the manners and means by which the local dialect is applied to advance expressions so as to be the literary language which is rich in aesthetic value and the power of expression. The paper mainly explores the language in Yang Kexiang's works through localization, visualization and popularization of language.Ⅰ. Localization of the LanguageFirst, marked local color can be shown from dialectical words: the thesis focuses on verbs, adjectives, nouns of places and things of dialect words, and the special vocabulary—self-coined words in Yang Kexiang's works.Second, local cultural information can be revealed from vulgar language: the thesis analyses the context of the use of vulgar language, and explores its cultural background.Third, special forms of people's titles: the paper shows the local flavor from the appellations of the characters, and analyses application of Chinese blood relationships in appellations. One can find the expressions of personal relationship in the language from the special forms of appellations of figures.Ⅱ. Visualization of the languageThe strong local flavor and color can be revealed by means of the analysis of metaphor, personification, parallel, couplets.Ⅲ.
