Research On Animal Novels Of Liu Kexiang

As the leader of nature writing in Taiwan, Liu Kexiang has published plenty of works (more than seventy) with lots of varieties, including poetry, prose, novel, travel notes and graphics, etc. The diversity of his writing direction, writing skills and thought on natural ecology has given very critical orientation to the nature writing in Taiwan.Different from the general creation of animal novels, the animal novels of Liu Kexiang have rich ecological knowledge and unique literary techniques, which has extraordinary indicators of innovation for its development vein of "nature writing" or "novel" in Taiwan.In this paper, the author discusses the development of "ecological literature" and "animal novels" firstly. Then evaluates and analyses the ecology rethinking in the animal novels of Liu Kexiang. Besides, the author carries out discussion on the multiple meanings in the animal novels of Liu Kexiang. Lastly, the artistic features of the animal novels of Liu Kexiang are analyzed. Through interpretation as above, the paper aims to show the unique charm of the animal novels of Liu Kexiang and give more complete and more precise interpretation on the animal novels of Liu Kexiang.
