"The Chinese is the people that concern the dead the most."In the macro funeral custom background which takes the notion"regard death as life""singularity of life and death", the Western Han dynasty period, the distinctive features of funeral ceramic vessels were the consequential fusion from merging of Qin and Chun culture. Besides, the new ceramic technique of Han dynasty was the continuity from Qin time, transforming Qin's"modulizing and sculpting combination with emphasis on sculpting"to"modulizing and sculpting combination with emphasis on modulizing". Based on the Qin's art style and spiritual quality which the terra-cotta warrior exemplified, Han's ceramic art combined romantic features of Chu culture, hence mutually initiated the painted ceramic figures characteristic to Western Han dynasty style.
