Reflection On The Popularization Phenomenon Of Contemporary Classical Music

Being an important part of human cultures, classical music is a valuable historical heritage, representing our ancestors' great exploring and experimental achievement in the field of music. On the whole, as a society, it is certain that there should be a representative music to embody the corresponding age. However, it doesn't emerge without any foundation. On the contrary, it turns to be a conclusion and creation of the past experiment and achievement.The present reverting enthusiasm for classical music probably represents a process of recognition, reconsideration and recreation for the past classical music. Meanwhile the popularization of classical music is no other than the typical representative of the time. Therefore, the research of popularization of classical music plays an important role not only to the inheritance of traditional cultures which aims to maintain the transmission of culture but also to the new cultural development of the modern time on the basis of traditional cultures. Hereby, this thesis aims to research how classical music succeeds and develops as well as how it inducts college students of non-music major to classical music, by means of popularization of classical music, so as to improve their comprehensive qualities.In terms of information collection, this thesis mainly adopts the methods of literature search, reference from the library, Internet searchwhile analytical method and comparative method are adopted concerning the research approaches.The core of viewpoints of this thesis is that the succession of classical music cannot be abused and simply imitated. Instead, it should be taken according to the characteristics of the modern time. Only in this way can it obtain vitality, which in return enables splendid historical cultural heritages to be succeeded and carried forward. However, every step of succession and creation should be taken on premise of maintaining the original styles and features.
