With the rapid development of science and technology,more a nd more foreign excellent courses are spread to us through various ways.Among them,listening to music is one of the most popular public music appreciation courses in Yale university,which is also widely spread in the world due to its consistent adherence to and e mphasis on the general education philosophy of Yale university,the excellent teaching philosophy contained in the course and the rich and scientific content.Courses,theoretical framework and case study,this article studies the concept,using literature method,content analysis method and spe cific methods,such as classroom observation,to "listen to the music" the course from the course background,the course content,teaching methods and evaluation and so on comprehensive research,in-depth analysis of the success of this course,looking forward to in the pres ent our country universities general course of music appreciation tea ching form new revelation,and music education research in the expa nsion of university general education curriculum research,achieve the double value of theory and practice.The first chapter is introduction,mainly solves the selected topicreason,literature review,significance,research ideas and methods such as basic issues,among them,the literature review is to solve the pr oblem of today's surrounding the topic research present situation,and set up the topic to form the theoretical basis of problem,research t o carry out the micro individual course of study,to find the best br eakthrough point to solve the problem of universality.The theoretical basis of the second chapter,from the man's all-r ound development theory,music teaching theory,the elements of socia lism and eternal curriculum theory,curriculum establishment of social ism theory and so on four aspects to elaborate the theoretical basis of this thesis study and argument to a course to do case analysis,s tudy its intrinsic value and its enlightenment to the present relevant curriculum and teaching is a theoretical basis.Third,four,chapter five is about the central part of the paper in order to "curriculum background analysis","course content analysis","teaching analysis" three parts read separately,and deeply analyzes th e listening to music all the course of cultural background,the course target,teaching content and organizational structure,teaching methods and teaching evaluation and so on.Chapter six is a revelation,proposing how to reflect on our cur riculum and teaching problems through an excellent foreign general education course under the background of the continuous development of higher education reform,and putting forward effective and con structive suggestions for the development of general education and public courses in China.
