Research About The Olunchun Folks-Zan Daren And Its Singing Style

Folks are derived from the common people, which is the combination of the people's collective creation and wisdom, as well as the Olunchun Folks-Zan Daren. They have various categories and rich content, which are composed of hunting songs, love songs, wining songs, and cradlesongs, etc. With the Yu mode as the major mode, Zan Daren's mode is based on the Chinese mode of five-tone, which also covers the Gong mode and the Zhi mode. There are five degrees from the former phrase to the latter phrase of the melody. Meanwhile the latter phrase is the strict or free imitation of the five-degree lower former phrase. The tunes of the Olunchun Folks are mainly single period, most of which are made up of two phrases or four phrases. The Olunchun folks-Zan Daren have free rhythm, short lyrics and long tune. The melody is straightforward and uninhibited; the sound is loud and sonorous. The minor-styled Zan Daren has standard and neat rhythms, unified characters and tones, strong local styles, beautiful and pleasant melodies, fluent and smooth sounds, balanced tunes, together with fixed lyrics and phrases. This paper makes some specialized research on the Olunchun folks-Zan Daren, and it mainly discusses the original singing styles of these folks. It covers the following three sections: Chapter 1. The formation of the style of the Olunchun folks is many-sided.This section mainly analyzes the formation of the Olunchun folks from various aspects such as history, geography, linguistic characteristics and customs.Chapter 2. The singing forms and the musical features of the the Olunchun folks—Zan Daren.This section makes a detailed introduction about what is Zan Daren, makes a discussion about its singing forms and makes a brief analysis about its musical features. Chapter 3. The research about Zan Daren.This section is the focal point of this paper. According to some audio and video materials, based on some vivid materials from the interviews towards some senior experts and scholars, the author makes some research about the style characters and the different handling to the different types of Zan Daren, makes an elementary inquiry into the folks and finally draws a conclusion. At the same time, the author analyzes and discusses both the present situation and the future prospects of the Olunchun folks, and puts forward her own opinion about some issues which require further research.
