This thesis studied Marguerite Duras'oriental complex and oriental writing from visual angle of bestraddle culture .overall I try to explore writer Marguerite Duras'oriental complex from her unique experience and individual writing ,grasping her peculiarity of oriental writing through three aspects——emotion, figure and idea. We can say that Duras'oriental complex is the premises of her oriental writing, and her oriental writing showed her oriental complex to some degree. The thesis is divided into 5 parts.Introduction. The study about Duras is comprehensive, thorough, profound and gain visible achievement on broad. Chinese academia's study about Duras is late and attained limited achievement in a comparative way. At present there is a lot lacuna to fill. The thesis'a most important innovation is discussing and analyzing Duras from bestraddle culture the visual angel.Duras'oriental complex. Duras spend her childhood on orient. 18years living and experiences make her have deep oriental complex. She is sentimentally attached to orient, she looks orient as her real hometown .After grown up, she begins to write novels about orient to seek for her psychic hometown.Duras'oriental writing. I analyzed Duras'oriental writing from three aspects of emotion, figure and idea .The writer shows her deep oriental complex through hopeless, painful emotion, wretched, unassisted figure, and making public the desire and passion."The others'"writing.While Duras has deep oriental complex, she stands up for"the others'"standpoint unconsciously to watch at orient. There is incapable erasing occidental culture consciousness in her writing..Conclusion. Duras'oriental complex and oriental writing is a kind of ego talking in fact, expressing love and hope to the mankind .At the same time ,she takes on a messenger of culture intercommunion and dialogue, This is Duras'outstanding contribution.
