Meanwhile, western society in which the rationalistic value was dominant had made great progress in matter production, while human and their life were hurt badly. Not only the gap between the poor and the rich was bigger, but human feelings had many psychological problems due to rational oppression. Therefore it became a common cognition for the intellectuals in the May-4^th to pay attention to human and life. Li Shicen's life philosophy was built for the sake of resolving this age problem too.The prime viewpoint of Li Shicen's life philosophy is manifest life. He thinks that the impulse of life is the essence of the world and life. The world and life are derived from the life will which is continual and energetic. Life's value lies in manifesting this essence but not covered or destroyed by other things. Among these manifesting forms, such as science, religion, morality, philosophy, art, and so on ,Li Shicen considers only art is the best manifesting form. That is the reason why he advocates art life. Emphasizing on manifesting life will makes Li Shicen's humanism life philosophy has distinct naturalism trend. As the change of times problems, although Li Shicen's life philosophy hasn't been upheld by people, it has referenced meaning for Chinese modernization and the reform of Chinese education system. Of course, we should recognize the limitations of its naturalism trend, such as the roughness of its system info, the non-practicability of its art life.
