This thesis minority based on the questionnaires and inquires on the second—year,third year minority students, the Chiese tadchers and Chiese teaching administrators of Xinjiang Normal University, Yili Normal College, Xinjiang University, Shihezi University, Xinjiang Changji College, Xinjiang Arts College and Xinjiang Agricultural University.Via these, the auther investigate comprehensively on the present situation of minority students Chinese teaching of Xinjiang. Guided on the related theories of Linguistics Education and Psychology,this paper analyzes and erplains the necossity of offering Chinese to the minority students in higher insuitutions in Xinjiang,under present historical condition.This paper also points out the common pwblems and difficulties on Chinese feaching Syllabus, Chinese course Settings, Chinese Course Evaluations,teaching methods and the course's administration. At the end of this paper, the author puts forward some specific countermeasures on improving Chinese Teaching in Xinjiang.
