The Character Of Intellectuals In The WeiJin Period Indicated In A New Account Of Tales Of The World

A New Account of Tales of the World became a book in YuanJia period in Liu Sung. It used vivid language to write down the image of preeminent intellectuals. And established an integrated system to appraise character in Chinese aesthetics history. The system appraised intellectuals about their feelings, personalities, ability and wisdom, and appearances. This text mainly from the angle of view of comparative research with the past dynasties to discuss the differences and similarities in the character appreciation between the period in A New Account of Tales of the World and the Confucian and Taoist of Earlier Qin, and Han Dynasty.
