The "Sisterhood" Writing Under The Multi-cultural Horizon

As the basic principles of feminist criticism, "sisterhood" is of great significance on striving for the status of women and the language of women. Taking feminist criticism as the theoretical background to elaborate, and Chinese contemporary writers' "sisterhood" as a criticism to examine the object, this paper tries to reveal the connotation of "sisterhood" under the multi-cultural horizon, dilemma and the social and cultural changes reflected. This paper is divided into three parts: the first part is the theoretical resources of "sisterhood" discourse, from defining "sisterhood" to looking for the reason why "sisterhood" appeared, analyzing the political and psychological factors contained in "sisterhood", meditating the cultural implications of the historical gap, and carding the evolving conditions of the development of writing and criticism of the practice of "sisterhood". Through the comparison and interpretation on "sisterhood" in Chinese women writing, the second part tries to card and analysis multiple possibility of interpretation on discourse of "sisterhood": or as a voice of resistance and liberation for the social value of women; or telling about the women's self-awakening as the way of "disguise"; or explaining heterosexual hegemony and exploring the dual-state structure; or totally rejecting the male value center, from mutual entanglement of the longings and hesitation to brave "broking" totally, to layout the deep excavation and openness of contemporary female writing on this phenomenon. The third part is the Utopian nature and the reality dilemma of "sisterhood". In this part, the author analyses and states four reasons why the writing of "sisterhood" falls into the "dilemma": "the difficulty female political alliance", "the illusion of women's common experience," "isolation from male society," "deconstruction by the nature of mother and wife". Taking these above as the starting point, in the conclusion part the author has a thinking of the future development of Chinese female writing and literary criticism. "Harmony between male and female " and "writing beyond sex" is the concluding point of this paper.
