The Poetics Of Space

Both space and time are the important dimensions by which humankind exist and perceive the world. But people have been ignoring space, as which has been considered as the containers or platform without any objective characteristics itself. Since the 1970s', space issues have become the hot of contemporary social theory. Academic circles have also taken place in the so-called "turn to space", space has also been the main cognitive paradigm in social studies. In this academic background of "turn to space", re-interpreting literature from the space dimension is undoubtedly a new channel for study of the literature.This paper, is trying to base on space theory, research space theory that has become a trend of school has something to do with literature, re-think and explain the basic issues of literature by space theory. In the specific writing, this paper will carry out a series of horizontal Inspection and re-interpretation about literary activities in the context of Post-modernism from the space dimension. Main thesis is divided into five parts, in addition to the preface, mainly contains four elements of literature such as the world, authors, readers and works, to analyses and criticizes the past vertical" the Poetics of time".In all, in order to reduce all elements of literary activities from the horizontal perspective, this paper will research the Western literary theories and viewpoints. I want to create "the poetics of space" which can research literature from a horizontal dimensions.
