This dissertation tries to import the Orff Education system into the piano education base on a series of studies on music education carried out home and abroad. Our attempts include an incorporation of Orff's basic theories, relevant psychological theories and theories concerning children activities into the practical piano education. We approach the feasibility of Orff's education system in piano education from several perspectives including that of scores, rhythms, music alphabets, sol-fa syllables, fingering and elementary performance. Our results show that the application of Orff system is of great feasibility and significance, especially for pre-school children.
