Music , as the way of understands oneself and the world for human beings , provides unique important understanding experiences , and it is the essential for everyone who are educated , therefore , the public music education as a Feeling education which training the students response of the performance strength in music , need to follow the particular nature and the rule of music. As the developing society , the traditional education ideology and approaches can not meet the demand of public music education in the higher learning institutions of China now.Orff-schulwerk has been taken into account by education domain recently because of its scientific , advanced and essential music education ideology. Nowadays , some universities in China and abroad are carrying out Orff-schulwerk , as a teaching method , which is still on experiment stage. According to author' s survey and research , there is the shortage of the references using Orff-schulwerk by the teachers of colleges , and it is limited only in fulfilling plan simply or partial using in course , and there are not the theoretical and systematical research results as well. The thesis studied and discussed the application value of Orff-schulwerk in the public music education of higher learning institutions , and applied an actual reform plan for the public music education of them , which can develop the music education in public.This thesis includes four parts:Part I : The summary of Orff-schulwerk. Base on philosophy, psychology and pedagogy, the possibility of applying the Orff-schulwerk to the university public music education is analyzed. The Orff-schulwerk education idea connotation and the characteristics, as well as the significance of conducting the fundamental research to it are elaborated.
