The Research On Wang Tong-Zhao's Novels

Wang Tong-Zhao (1897-1957), was a famous fictionist in modern literature history in China, and he was one of a sponsor in the literature research meeting. He wrote a lot of writings all his life, for example, fiction, poetry, prose, and so on. In the main, this thesis is studying the ideology and the artistic value of his works content from his fiction. At the same time, it also explores the author's cultural course. Wang Tong-Zhao's fiction according to the times of his creation, they may divide three stages. First, he wrote the fiction about"love and beauty"at the early stage. They manifested the author from pursuing the idea of"love and beauty"at the first to disillusion in the end, and also embodied the author's humanitarianism and humanity thought. At the stage, Wang Tong-Zhao applied the main writing method which was intuition. That is to say, these fiction wrote rely on his temporary intuition at the early stage, but the value was extraordinary. Because these fiction wrote the author's opinion and thought of his inner depths, and he impressed on the real life. Second, he created the concerned, profound, condensed, grand countryside fiction. They embodied the author from paying close attention to the idea life, and thinking the world which was full of"love and beauty"at the first to gradually recognizing the difficulties of the life, even he depressed for a time, but in the end the author came out the difficulties, got into the real world, and transferred his eyes to pay attention to the village and the peasant's destiny. At this stage, he applied the main writing way which was realism. That is to say, it truly displayed the impoverished of the north village and the peasant's hardship. Third, he created the pessimistic fiction about political and high pressure. They manifested the author's patriotism spirit and the enthusiasm which took part in the democratic movement. At the stage, Wang Tong-Zhao applied the main writing way that was realism- symbolism.
