After Bruce Lee's Film came into being, many scholars made a broad study in it, but seldom in the influence on Hong Kong's film industry. The present thesis takes a different road. Starting with the development of schools of martial arts in Hong Kong, the author explains and studies Bruce Lee's films from two aspects, the features of aesthetics and the creation of the institution of film industry, expecting to make a breakthrough in the study of Bruce Lee's Film.Hong Kong's martial arts is divided into the north school and the south school. After its two reunions and subdivisions, Bruce Lee and his films reache the peak. Not only he creats the completely new type of martial arts- Jeet Kune Do, but also his films are adored and paid great attention to by the world film fans for its peculiar fascination. In the author's opinion, Bruce Lee's Film's aesthetics mainly lies in that he breaks the images in former martial art films, which is like the characters in operas. Furthermore, based on his makings of a film star and Kung Fu, he creates a whole new personalized and modem heroic image and he uses skilled language in the film. So, his films are full of unprecedented sense of truth, rhythm and wonderization, which is also the source of the charm of Bruce Lee's film. What has the same importance is that the way of cooperation between Bruce Lee and Golden Harvest Presentation changes Hong Kong's film industry's independent producer system and film studio system, imports a totally new model of satellite filmmaking, brings the boom in 70's and 80's and influences the development of Hong Kong's film industry.Because of the depth of aesthetic and powerful reform, which goes beyond later generation's ability to reach, Bruce Lee's films become the immortal works in the history of Hong Kong's film.
